Why I do what I do!
Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, the youngest in an active family of seven, many of the values and and pastimes I had as a child I am now enjoying with my own family. My husband Ray is a small business owner specializing in habitat restoration. We have two children, Lila and Red, currently in 3rd and 1st grades. We are avid campers, mountain bikers, skiers, gardeners and generally outdoor enthusiasts. We are thrilled to have a rich community of friends in the Willamette Valley and feel passionately about contributing to our community in work and play. Parenting is the hardest job I've ever had! I've found that through using my business skills to serve other families in our community that I can show up as the best version of myself for my family. . . . so as I continue to develop business clarity for myself, I create more resources for play with my family! Carri served as a member of the Corvallis Montessori Board of Directors for four years, which included two terms as Board President. She was a consensus builder amongst all of our stakeholders, offered innovative solutions to problems, communicated effectively and with a passion for the school mission. Her leadership really transformed our Board into a body that was able to accomplish many goals while having fun and getting to know one another.

Working with Carri helped me to step into my leadership capacity during a challenging season for our school due to COVID interruptions. She helped me to grow more confident in my voice and ability to delegate compassionately by listening to my perspective and offering alternative perspectives and ideas to consider. I felt both positively challenged and supported through our collaboration. Ultimately, I made better decisions and implemented needed changes to our school with self-assurance that considered the needs of our entire community. Carri's sense of humor and ability to ask meaningful questions made our work together enjoyable and successful.
